Story

Jack Morgan and Richard Brooks are set on showing that despite having a disability they still have a love for personal challenges and the great outdoors. They aim to reach the peak of Pen-y-ghent in their self propelled Mountain Trikes.  The 7 mile trek with an ascent of 700m will be a tough one! A support team will provide a safety backup for Jack and Richard along the route.

The Pen-y-ghent Challenge will raise money for The  Cave Rescue Organisation who provide cave and mountain rescue services in the Yorkshire Dales including The Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The voluntary organisation also assists in incidents of a a public services nature, such as searches for missing persons and are a key part of flood rescues throughout the Lake District and Yorkshire.

In 2010 The Cave Rescue Organisation was awarded the Queens Award for voluntary services. The award is the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary organisations.
