As you know I will be cycling 350Kms over 5 days across Tanzania and am raising funds for women vs cancer in aid of breast cervical and ovarian cancer.
I very quickly realised this is not a holiday! We will start in the shadow of Kilimanjaro to cycle on and off road across the African savannah through Masaai villages and 3 national parks to finish at the Ngoro Ngoro Crater, this includes two nights of camping. The last day is the shortest at 39kms but consists of a 1000m climb! So far training and fundraising has proven to be physically and mentally challenging. As most of you are aware I'm always up for a challenge and new experiences which is why I took this on. I have been told I am completely out of my mind to take on such a demanding task but the response and support from everyone has been very encouraging, so thank you! 😊
I have fully funded the expenses so all the money raised will go straight to the three charities who work to research into effective treatments for possible cures and to support the individuals and families so they can face cancer with a smile!
Knowing your support is there goes a long way to keep me pedalling to make it back in one piece as I have since discovered my balance on two wheels at speed is awful!
