We have taken on a ridiculous challenge of completing Hadrian's Wall in 24 hours in the memory of the late Susan Brassey and raising money for Versus Arthritis.
Susan sadly passed away on 21 November 2022 leaving behind John and two beautiful young girls. Covid was the primary reason for her death but the reason Covid managed to take hold was due to the fact that she suffered from Juvenile Arthritis and suffered from the age of 5.
The doctors had no idea what caused it. It wasn’t hereditary and they could not cure it. They could only manage the symptoms and the pain.
The charity not only supports those with this debilitating condition but also supports innovative research to hopefully, one day, cure all forms of arthritis. No child should have to suffer a life sentence of constantly aching, swollen joints.
We have set a goal of £10,000 but want to absolutely smash this.
Please support where and how you can. Please also share wide and far.
Who we are:
- John Brassey (Husband) - 41, novice runner, gin and rum drinker;
- Mathew Harvey (Brother) - 43, novice plodder, drinks anything;
- Richard Burns (good friend and husband of John's business partner) - 31, excellent fitness, the only one of the three who should even be contemplating doing this run...
