Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is James, and I will get straight to the point, I am very nervous about running the Marathon. I think the furthest distance I have conquered in my running is 12km, times that by three and I am nearly there!
I work as an Advanced Quality Practitioner for Milton Keynes College. I first discovered MK SNAP through working with a number of their staff whilst delivering teaching training. I was immediately inspired by their selflessness and commitment to transforming the lives of adults with learning disabilities.
The amazing work MK SNAP are doing on a daily basis is life changing, their values led organisation aims to create a fun, progressive, respectful, safe, inclusive and professional environment. I am honoured to have the opportunity of running the London Marathon for some incredible people.
MK SNAP rely on the generosity of donations and fundraising. Please help me to raise my target of £2,000 for the charity. This money could help fund the following...
- Computer confidence, including keyboard skills and using the internet safely
- Health & well-being programme covering food, physical activity and self-esteem
- Performing arts programme
- Sport, dance or yoga and relaxation sessions
- A programme of essential life-skills increasing independent living opportunities
- Work training opportunities in catering, cafe and customer service
- Guidance and support on how to apply for a first job.
