James Elgar had a Stroke in July 2017 while surfing down in Devon at the age of 33. The Stroke hit him on the right side of the brain, meaning he completely forgot how to talk. James got great aftercare support from his local NHS team, the Shropshire Rehabilitation centre, helping him to learn the words again to make conversations.
The Prudential Ride London is a ride I have done before I had the Stroke. Now I want to complete the 100 miles in 5hrs 35 Minutes - at an average pace 18mph. This won't be easy as I will be doing this by myself! I just hope the find people doing the same pace as I am.
The Stroke Association does fantastic work to raise awareness and provide support to those affected by strokes. We are proud to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause.
