Who Are We ?

The fundraising of #teambertie #cwtchjean is a collaboration between my great friend Allan England and I, along with our running group Team Bertie.

Through our love of running our aim is to fundraise for Tenovus and to also help others to reach their own fundraising targets for various causes through promotion and fundraising events and activities 

Many thousands of pounds have already been raised for the various charities, including Tenovus as a result of this and it's something we're really proud of. 

We aim to make fundraising fun.

What Do We Do ? 

Allan and I have been lacing up our trainers since 2020 to fundraise for Tenovus and doing ancillary fundraising activities such as raffles and virtual challenges. 

Yorkshire Marathon ✔️London Landmarks Half ✔️ Manchester Marathon ✔️  The London Marathon ✔️ Great North Run ✔️ Berlin Marathon ✔️ Cardiff Half Marathon ✔️ plus many more 

We involve our running group in our shennigans and many of them have chosen to use our fundraiser for their own events as well as supporting our own adventures including dipping into The North Sea .

Why #cwtchjean ? 

Well because as many of you are aware, Cancer has touched my life in so many ways, specifically and the single most heartbreaking moment in my life was losing my Dad in 2018.

 I know I am not alone in such losses and experiences with family and friends.

My own diagnosis and my refusal to allow myself to be defined by it ,is the spearhead of this current campaign.

Cancer affects your life and those around you in so many unexpected ways and can be a particularly frustrating and emotional roller coaster. I am blessed to have so many amazing, supportive and encouraging people by my side on a daily basis. 

How To Donate

A collaboration with Notch Jewellery has meant that they have produced a specific Tenovus Notch and 10% of every purchase will be donated accordingly.

A similar collaboration with ShadowOf A Saint Clothing means that every purchase of Team Bertie and Cwtch Jean merchandise will result in a donation being made.

Alternatively you can simply donate any amount you have spare here, in order to progress the amazing work that Tenovus does for its patients,  families and communities here in Wales.
