I am preparing to put my best foot forward to help raise money for East Lancashire Hospital’s New Charity, EHLT&me.
I will be attempting to climb the tallest mountain in the UK this weekend, in an effort to raise essential funds for the hospital charity.
I’m passionate about community work and believe it’s our responsibility to ensure we play a part to protect our health service. My aim is to raise as much awareness and money as possible for the ELHT&me Charity and help improve the experience for patients in our local NHS hospitals.
I can’t wait for this weekends challenge to climb Ben Nevis and just hope that the weather is nice so we get to experience the wonderful views of the Scottish Highlands as we make our way to the top.
The appeal will fund an endoscopy machine, treatment table, additional scopes, and monitors. It will enable a further 48 patients per week to be checked, diagnosed and possibly treated – that’s almost 2500 per year! The appeal will enable the Trust to expand its capacity for earlier diagnosis and treatment; improve local provision, providing specialist investigation near to people’s homes; and, increase their ability to treat the simplest cases at the point of examination. Everyone in the East Lancashire area will benefit.
