Fundraising for RNIB - Royal National Institute of Blind People
Those of you who know me will be aware that just a few months ago I couldn't run the length of my house without pegging out! That was until I made a momentus (and lifechanging) decision on the 16th October 2009 at the funeral of my dear friend David Williams. David was only 10 days short of his 54th birthday when he passed away after an incredibly brave battle with cancer. He lived life to the full and always had a smile for everyone. In the last 3 years of his life the RNIB became very important to David and his family as they came to terms with his diagnosis of eye cancer and the loss of one eye. With the RNIB's support David was able to carry on as normal up until 3 weeks before he died.
On 29th May 2010 I intend to run/jog and probably crawl over the finish line of the Stornoway 10K in memory of David. His widow, Janet and their son, Darren are travelling up to Stornoway from North Wales for the event so please , please pop a few quid into the pot for this very worthwhile charity.
