Thanks for taking the time to visit the group JustGiving page for Isabel Hospice's Team Peru.
So the team has set off for what will be one of the biggest challenges of our lives. You can read all about our adventures on a daily basis here: http://wp.me/p2LLlm-18
The story before we set off:
We all have our own personal reasons for undertaking the challenge - for some of us, the Hospice has provided care for a loved one, for others it is a local charity which we admire greatly, but the thing that brings us all together is our desire to raise vital funds to support the work of this amazing hospice.
We begin our trip with two days working in a remote village school where we will repaint classrooms whilst acclimatising to the altitude. We will then head off, complete with backpacks, for several days of trekking over some rough terrain, sleeping in tents at night. Not only will the walking be tough, but we will have to deal with the problems of altitude, with our highest point being 4600 metres above sea level. The forecast is extremely wet, making our challenge even harder!
We are undertaking this challenge for one reason only - to raise as much money as we can for Isabel Hospice! If you are able to donate in support of our challenge, we would be most grateful. All money raised will help patients and families in the care of the Hospice.
On behalf of Team Peru, thank you! x
