In 2018 and 2019, ISG staff helped coordinate and collate gifts for a Giving Tree in the lead up to Christmas. Edinburgh Women's Aid have appreciated our collections and now, as a result of the continued pandemic, need our help more than ever.

Although the current situation has meant that we can not repeat a physical collection, we shall repeat our efforts of 2020 via financial donation. This will help make a difference during the Edinburgh Women’s Aid Christmas Appeal. Edinburgh Women's Aid emphasise donations "can both ensure that women and children we support have a brighter Christmas and also so that we can provide food and other essentials for those in need over the coming year."

Moreover, they have identified the following amounts as examples of what each donation shall contribute towards:

- £10 contributes to the cost of a Christmas meal for a woman and her children living in refuge;

- £25 can go toward presents, activities and trips over the holiday period, ensuring a child in refuge has a more enjoyable Christmas;

- £50 helps the cost of food and essentials for a woman and her children living in the refuge over the Christmas holidays;

- £75 would contribute to the cost of food and essentials over the holidays and beyond for women and children who have no access to other funds.
