Hi, Nick (Indigo Traveller) here. Thank you for watching my videos and taking an interest in supporting traumatised communities from Ukraine.
As the fighting continues to intensify, devastating missile attacks are hitting innocent civilians, families are sheltering in basements and medical supplies are in short supply. More than 6 million refugees have since left Ukraine, while an estimated 7.7 million people had been displaced within the country by 21 April.
The International Committee of the Red Cross are distributing food and hygiene parcels, warm clothing, first aid and delivering water to villages and hospitals. Their teams are true heroes, determined to save as many lives as they can.
How you can help:
-$13 could provide a hygiene kit to a family of five, giving them supplies to stay healthy for a month.
-$26 could provide five blankets to families taking shelter.
-$44 could provide 40 chlorine tablets to ensure that families have access to clean, safe water.
-$280 could provide a fully equipped first aid kit, including supplies, to a first aider treating those wounded.
