Story
On Saturday 21st March my twin brother Will was taken from us all too soon, at only 26, in a cycling accident in the Lake District. It was an accident that none of us could have foreseen or controlled, but he was doing something he loved with a good friend by his side.
We are fundraising for The Great North Children's Hospital Foundation, a cause that Will himself had intended to support this year. Will had wanted to work in paediatric medicine since his early school years. You may say that this is not an ordinary aspiration for a child, but those who know him will tell you that Will was an extraordinary person. He was strong willed, passionate and caring. It has been a dream he pursued for much of his life, and one he had only recently seen realised, working towards membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics.
We will never be able to contribute as much as Will could, and would have done in person. However, for those unable to pay their respects in person, or who would otherwise like to contribute in his memory we'd ask for a small donation in his name to a cause close to his heart, in his adopted home in the North East.
If anyone would like to leave comments, thoughts, memories, we'd ask that you do so via this page as opposed to Facebook or other social media.
From me, the rest of our family, and his loving wife, Thank you.
