Avril is going to be dearly missed by us all, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and loyal Christian. She always saw the potential in people, and knowing John Kirkby who had a vision to help people struggling in poverty and debt. Avril gave John his first £10 donation, to help him start his vision - like the mustard seed in the garden Christians Against Poverty has grown to a £14million charity supporting thousands of people every year with debt support, based in hundreds of churches across the country.

The pressures that COVID has put on many financially made us think it would make Avril smile if her In Memory page could support CAP.
