Rick loved anything associated with sport, particularly football and he spent years playing and coaching. He had a personal football career which saw him playing from 6 years old to when he passed.

15 of those years were spent coaching his sons at Euxton Villa where he influenced the lives of many young children. Not only did he pass on football skills to these children, but he also taught them many life skills which have enriched their wider lives. 

It is the families’ wish because of this that we have chosen Preston North End’s charity as this charity supports grassroots of coaches in the football community locally to Preston and helps develop young children in their football careers which was very close to Rick’s heart.
