Story
Our beautiful Saiyan. He was in a rush to come into this world and a rush to go. The apple of his mother’s eye and Mini and Ricky’s world.
Their world shattered on the 3rd of January 2022 when Saiyan was suddenly taken away from them. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Saiyan, also lost a little part of themselves that day. A much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and dancing extraordinaire.
We cherish the wonderful memories Saiyan left behind. A smile that would melt any heart and facial expressions that always caused us amusement. His ‘Chandler’ smile and Nanny McPhee tooth made us all laugh. Saiyan didn’t need a song to dance, he had his own merry tunes to move too.
Saiyan had a tremendous journey spending the first 10 weeks of his life at the Good Hope neonatal unit.
His parents committed themselves to making him stronger and bought home their bundle of joy. The nurses loved him. At the mere age of 7 months old he had major heart surgery and came out fighting. Saiyan’s milestones were celebrated, breastfeeding, sitting up and standing on his own two feet. Saiyan’s perseverance taught us nothing is impossible.
Saiyan had a good bite, leaving his gnash marks on his sister Anushka, who often retaliated by pulling his hair. The partners in crime would make their mum chase them for nappy changes, laughing and delighted with their small triumphs. A much adored big brother also known as ‘Bubba’ who had a special bond with his sister.
Saiyan was any parent’s dream. A relaxed, happy baby and boy, low maintenance as Mini described him. Always ready for seconds when it came to pudding, and a book worm who loved listening to stories.
The happiness, joy and pitter patter Saiyan bought to our lives will remain with us but with a heavy heart his absence will be dearly missed. A void that will never be filled.
Saiyan, an adopted Fox (Leicester City fan) left a huge hole in all our hearts, he will forever have a special place in those lives where he had a presence. Keep on dancing wherever you are.
