In January 2011, my biggest brother Dan suddenly and tragically died due to Type 1 Diabetes.

It goes without saying that this tragedy irrevocably changed mine and my family's life. We miss him more than can be put into words, and though we cannot bring him back, I would never want another family to go through this. 

This is why, in September 2020, I will be running the Great North Run for Diabetes UK, in memory of my biggest brother.

My brother didn't get to see me grow into the person I am today, and each day I hope that he would have been proud of who I am becoming.
