Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
In June 2017, with over 600 supporters, we marced from Exeter to Newcastle, St James Park to St James’ Park to help stop prostate cancer being a killer. 15 marathons in 15 days. 400 miles. 40 clubs.

Story

As you know, I have been on my own journey with prostate cancer over the past 12 months and as part of my road to recovery, I have found a challenge that fits the bill perfectly.

On Friday 2nd June, I am joining the first day of Jeff Stelling's March for Men 2017. I will be attempting to walk a marathon of 26.2 miles from Exeter FC to Wellington AFC.

As the event is only 11 weeks after my surgery, it will be a real challenge to complete the distance and it is certainly a motivational goal.

This year, Jeff and team are completing a total of 15 marathons in 15 days, visiting 40 football clubs, to raise awareness of prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in men. In the UK, 1 in 8 men will get diagnosed with prostate cancer (a staggering 130 men a day) and someone dies from it every hour - it is therefore vital to get yourself checked out at the earliest opportunity, as I did.

Thank you for sponsoring me. With funds raised, Prostate Cancer UK are hoping to help erradicate this disease in the next 10 years.
