Ian's Great North Run 2015

Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am a PhD student at Keele University running the 2015 Great North Run for the Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes (SSBB) along with Natalie Soleiman, a fellow PhD student at Keele, and Steve Hawkes, a member of SSBB. I first ran the GNR in 2008 in a time of 1 hour 57 mins and am hoping to better that this time round.
Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes (SSBB) is an Emergency Volunteer Service providing urgent and emergency transportation of life saving medical supplies to the NHS Foundations across our region. Through the dedication of their volunteer staff, they hope to be operational every night of the year and we're supporting this goal by attempting to raise as much money as we can!
Across the UK there are groups similar to theirs (including in the North East) operating for the benefit of their local area. Through co-operation between these groups, they link together to form the Blood Bike Network, which provides such a vital service up and down the country, saving the NHS money on taxis – and most importantly, saving lives!
If you've got any spare money and would like to help us in achieving our goals (all from the comfort of your sofa ;) then please donate.
