Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please help us support the parents of children with cancer by donating funds towards a new social network platform called 'Cocoon' through the charity It's Never You - which was set up in memory of Heath Mount pupil Hugh Menai-Davis. Through Cocoon, parents or guardians of sick children will benefit by connecting with a community of peers, find support, sharing their experiences and having access to professionally sourced and reliable information via a social network which is not normally provided by the statutory authorities.
Our Year 7&8 pupils are aiming to put in 52 miles of physical activity each in their free time during the summer term to travel the equivalent distance of Heath Mount in Hertfordshire to Great Anse Beach in Grenada (4,368 miles). Hugh’s wish was to travel to Grand Anse beach and jump into the ocean with his family once he had beaten his cancer but Hugh sadly passed away on Saturday 18th September 2021.
Over 12 weeks our pupils are running, walking, swimming, cycling, horse-riding, rowing etc and tracking their activity. Through sponsorship they hope to raise over £3,000.
