Story
I’m taking part in the Great North Run - Half Marathon on the 9th September 2018 to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care who supported Judith, my wife, best friend and soul mate through out this brave lady’s fight. Judith was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and after surgery, numerous chemotherapy treatments and a course of drugs, was given the all clear from the consultant in 2013. However in 2014 Judith was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer which is terminal as there is no cure. This was devastating news for Judith and all the family. In typical Judith fashion she faced it full on and once again had to endure chemotherapy and further additional treatment.
Judith lost her battle with breast cancer and sadly passed away on the 7th September 2017.
Please donate to this worthy cause and together one day in the future we shall beat breast cancer.
Here's how the money I raise could make a difference:
£10 could provide a lifeline to 10 people affected by breast cancer by funding invaluable information resources.
£90 could help someone through one of the most difficult challenges they will ever face by funding a living with Secondary Breast Cancer session.
£500 could allow a person with breast cancer, or partner of someone with breast cancer, to talk freely and regularly over the phone with a trained volunteer who understands their particular concerns.
£1,200 could help 35 people affected by breast cancer, or with breast health concerns, by funding the Breast Cancer Care free and confidential Helpline for a day.
