Story
The Marylebone Project is a fantastic charity offering emergency and respite care to homeless women in London. The doors are open 24/7 to assist vulnerable, homeless women, who have nowhere else to turn. They offer a unique hostel, which is run for women, by women. Offering support and a safe space, enabling these women to have the tools to rebuild their lives.
The charity desperately needs an electric van to enable transportation of donated food and goods,. In addition it would enable the charity to take advantage of larger donated items of furniture which currently they can not accept as they have no transportation available. Local supermarkets and businesses regularly offer donated produce but currently the Marylebone Project staff have to literally carry these items, by hand back to the hostel. Obviously this is not ideal or sustainable.
I have personally visited the hostel and their day centre , The Sanctuary. Spending time with the inspirational staff and listening to the stories of the brave women, who have found themselves in truly horrific situations, has been both heartbreaking and uplifting .
Please help me to make all their lives, just a little easier.
