We provide specialist care and support to enable people to lead meaningful lives.

Story

Holmers House is a local care home in High Wycombe supporting
people living with dementia.

We love the work that we do, and we are passionate about the
people that we support
.  We want to give them the best experience
whilst living with us with their dementia diagnosis.

Our goal is to transform our outdoor space at the home so our
lovely residents can enjoy not only the chance to get involved with gardening,
growing flowers and vegetables but have the chance to visit a mocked up
"parade" of shops” in the gardens.

This will help us create a community within a community, an area
to reminiscence, bringing back past memories and create some new ones. We hope
to have a hairdressing salon, tearoom and grocery store and sweet shop for
people to visit and use!

So, to kick start or indeed ‘strip’ start our fundraising 6
of the male Ambient team members from Holmers will be braving the pain of a body waxing on Saturday 18th July 2020!

We are going to be stripping away
at our legs and chests, going ‘smooth’ for the summer to raise money to ‘strip
start’ our outdoor project.

The proceeds of this fundraiser will mean we have a head start
to get this project going!

Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated by the staff
team and residents alike.

Thank you!
