Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We have been volunteering for Oxford and District Mencap since 2016 and together have volunteered on 8 summer camps run by the charity!

Oxford Mencap is a big part of our lives and always the highlight of our summer. It was a challenge to keep things running through the uncertainty of Covid-19, but the work was worth it to see the smiles on everyone's faces.

The one area that Covid continues to effect is the charity's funds - hence why we are taking on this mammoth challenge! The summer camps provide a vital holiday for our guests, and a week of much needed respite for families and carers - and we need as much support as we can get to ensure that they continue to run each year.

Both of us are keen walkers, so when the opportunity to do the three Peaks Challenge arose we were very excited. Having recently moved to Leeds we will be out training in the Dales and the Peak District.

Please support us in reaching our fundraising target of £240 in any way you can; it will be so very appreciated by everyone at Oxford and District Mencap

Thank You!
