We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi there, Both my mother and I are sheading  our locks in aid of dementia UK. We are raising money for dementia UK to support the good work they do as My grandfather who passed away in March this year had dementia. Dementia UK do a lot of good work and is a charity we have supported as a family since my grandads death to repay the support they provided for my grandmother and grandfather.

We will also donate our hair to a children's charity the little princess trust for use in wigs. I think this will be a hard but useful thing to do for both charities and a huge learning experience for ourselves. It's something we would like to do together in grandads or dad in my mums case, memory.

Dementia is a very hard disease to suffer from and live with both individually and as a carer. Dementia UK provide help and support for families of those with dementia in its varying stages. This good work comes at a cost and this is why we are raising money for them.

Thank you for reading. xx
