Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.

Adam Gibb, a Highways England Traffic Officer, died tragically whilst carrying out his duties on the M6 in Cumbria on Sunday 21 February 2016. In the same incident, his colleague Paul Holroyd was seriously injured.

Adam was an exceptional Traffic Officer. Not only did he have the respect, admiration and friendship of his colleagues for his unique character and dedication, but also the gratitude of countless motorists and other members of the public he assisted in the course of his duties over 10 years working on the motorways of Cumbria and Lancashire. His wonderful sense of humour and love for life and his job will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him.

Adam was a fantastic father to Matthew and wonderful husband to Julie. They are devastated by their loss and would like Adam's passing to be recognised through donations to his favoured charities, rather than flowers.

Adam also supported the Penrith Mountain Rescue Team. A separate JustGiving page has been set up to receive donations for this local charity which was very close to his heart.
