This year there will be 850,000 people in the UK with dementia and 40,000 of them will be younger people.  By 2025 there will be an estimated 1 million people living with dementia.

This year I attended training and became a Dementia Friend.  Dementia, although seen as an 'old person's' disease does not discriminate and we will all be touched by it in some way, whether through family, friends or ourselves.
