Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Death and grief are sadly a part of life. Having lost my dad when I was 13 and then my sister Anne in 2018 I've experienced what a long lasting impact it can have. I have volunteered for Norwich Cruse since 2008 and feel passionately that support is needed to help many people through the grieving process. During this awful time of Covid-19, we are facing more death and more complicated grief than in many people's lifetimes. Sadly resources are scare so I've decided to run a stupidly long way to raise much needed money for Norwich Cruse. I am doing all of my training and the run itself in memory of my beloved sister and for all of those people directly and indirectly affected by this coronavirus outbreak. I'm doing the run on Saturday the 4th of July, with the possibility that I may need to complete it on Sunday the 5th!
Norwich and Central Norfolk Cruse Bereavement Care has been providing life-changing bereavement support to people since 1975, predominately through face-to-face and group support. Our branch has just one part-time member of staff and 38 specialist trained volunteers covering a wide geographical area. Our services are free of charge and we provide support to adults of all ages, regardless of the nature of death or length of time since bereavement.
