Welcome to Staffordshire's Lowland Search & Rescue Team, working in partnership with Staffordshire Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue and Staffordshire Civil Contingencies Unit.
We are Staffordshire's only approved volunteer lowland search & rescue team; with specialist training in locating and rescuing missing people in urban and rural lowland areas.
Staffordshire Lowland Search & Rescue Team (SSART) is a highly skilled team of dedicated volunteers who give up a lot of their own valuable time to provide a service to the emergency services in the upmost professional manner.
Although based primarily in Staffordshire, SSART often venture outside of the county to assist neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams on callouts. We also provide fully equipped 4x4 vehicles to assist with evacuation, recovery & logistics during adverse weather wherever we may be required.
