I am raising funds for the Wish List and the dedicated Breast Cancer Unit.

The Stars Appeal does a valuable job making an enormous difference for the care and treatment the hospital is able to provide its patients. With the continued support of the local community, who give so generously , the Stars Appeal which has already funded many projects will be able to continue to make a difference across Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset. Wish list ...

For Elderly Patients

• £10,000 contributes towards creative activities, psychological support and social interaction
• £38,000 funds advanced testing equipment for patients with dizziness or imbalance

For Cancer Patients

• £500 funds a support group for a year
• £3,000 provides free healthy drinks and snacks
• £12,000 provided aromatherapy and massage to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy
• £30,000 to upgrade and enhance cancer patients’ bedrooms on the Pembroke Ward

For Babies, Children and their Families

• £3,000 supports bereaved families on the Benson Suite
• £10,000ensures all families with premature babies can stay close by
• £20,000 maintains the child-friendly environment in the new Children’s Unit
• £60,000 provides the Antenatal clinic with a new ultrasound machine offering quicker scanning with enhanced image quality

For Spinal Unit Patients

• £20,000 pays for a Recreational Assistant to work year-round with Spinal Unit inpatients doing exercises and recreational activities

For Patients in Other Areas

• 2,000 means that every patient in Hospital on Christmas Day receives a present
• £3,000 helps to fund rehabilitation classes for cardiac patients for a year
• £90,000 pays for a state of the art vascular ultrasound machine
• £210,000 funds a major development in the Day Surgery Unit so that more operations can be carried out as day cases

Campaigns

£750,000 to provide a dedicated Breast Unit at , the specialist breast team offer excellent care but the number of patients they see is growing fast.  This will help over 4,500 local patients each year from across Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.
