Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! (That’s allowed now right?!)
So, even though 2020 has been going on for 4378 months now, it still appears that Christmas has managed to creep up on us. This time last year we had already enjoyed a fabulous Christmas fair with tonnes of great games, fab festive food, cracking choir singing, made even more enjoyable with copious amounts of marvelous mulled wine.
We are sad we won’t be able to run our amazing Santa’s grotto for the children this year.
The big man always loves to visit The Heights. It is really important to us to keep the magic of Christmas alive during this crazy year, so we are planning an afternoon of festive fun for all of our Heights children!
Father Christmas will be "zoom"ing in to give each class a personalised message. He and the elves have been super busy arranging a very special delivery to ensure each and every child
receives a very special gift. They will also be given a Christmas decoration, to add sparkle and personalise as a lovely keepsake for your tree. Each class will then settle down to spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying a fab festive film to complete a most magical and
christmassy afternoon!
This is a surprise for the children, and the teachers haven't yet decided which day these festivities will take place so please don't let your child know as we feel the surprise will make it even more special.
The PTFA will be funding the festivities for all the children to enjoy. As I’m sure you are aware fundraising is incredibly difficult at this time (and for the foreseeable future). This is made even harder by the fact the school needs money now more than ever. If you would like to make a donation towards this magical afternoon (or the school in general) it really would be very, very much appreciated. Think of all the money you have burning a hole in your pocket from the lack of a 2020 Christmas fair! All money donated will be match funded, thanks to Microsoft so please dig deep knowing that for every pound you donate it will be doubled – now that really is magical!
