Our amazing mum, Heather, was cruelly struck down by cancer in 2018. She fought bravely against this terrible disease for nearly five years but lost her battle this week, passing away in her sleep on Monday 30th January with all of us at her side. She was just 54 years old.

Mum was simply the best. She was so full of life and would light up a room with her great, big smile and her infectious sense of humour. 

We are all devastated but some consolation for all of us in these final weeks has been the incredible support provided by the team at St David’s Hospice. This has made an extremely challenging period that little bit more bearable. Heather was so comfortable during this final chapter of her life and whether they are in the medical, nursing and care team, the cafe, the reception, the cleaners or the pastoral team, everyone has been so kind and considerate. They were prepared to do anything and everything to support us in our hour of need.
