Harriet Courage is raising money for Ovarian Cancer Action

Hazza’s Fundrazor · 25 December 2020

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.

Story

I'm shaving my hair off. But I needed a bit of persuasion to give me the guts to get on and do it. So after a chat with my bff Tat, it was decided that we’d use it as an opportunity to raise some money for Ovarian Cancer Action.

Why them? Well, seeing your best friend lose their mum to cancer, as quickly as she did, has been utterly devastating. So, if I can raise some money and a bit of awareness to give someone else more time with their mum then this will have been worth it.

Sian would probably say shaving my head would be a ridiculous thing to do but I also know that she’d be the one grabbing the razor and telling me to stop talking about it and just get on with it. So that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Hair doesn’t take that long to grow back, right?

Oh and once shaved, the hair will go to The Princess Trust 🙂
