4 days to go . looking to get the target bumped up some more
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal
WHO?
As a student officer for New College Lanarkshire
Students’ Association, I am representing our student body who nominated
Teenage Cancer Trust as their chosen charity of 2015.
HOW?
Please help me to achieve my target of £125 and
sponsor me as I experience the ultimate adrenalin rush as I abseil from
the roof of Yorkhill Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow.
WHY?
Teenage Cancer Trust are a deserving charity
who create world-class cancer services for young people in the UK,
providing life-changing care and support to young people so they don’t
have to face cancer alone.
Did you know?
· 7 young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every day, and too many of them fail to recognise cancer symptoms early.
· The 5 signs of cancer are pain, a lump or bump, extreme weight loss, extreme tiredness and changes in a mole.
· From every £1 that you donate, 79p will be spent on helping young people fight cancer. The remaining 21p is used to raise further funds.
WHERE?
Yorkhill is an iconic 100 year old building,
currently home to a Teenage Cancer Trust Unit which ensures the best
possible quality of care is provided so that young people are treated as
a young person first and cancer patient second.
WHEN?
Sunday 29 March, 2015.
