We combat racism and hate crime to build stronger, safer communities.

Story

Tonight's live stream aims to raise as much money as possible for the Anthony Walker Foundation. I had originally chosen to do this for Black Lives Matter, however after seeing a post by a friend, it made me realise that although all this horror has happened recently in America, racism is also on our doorsteps here in the UK too.

The Anthony Walker Foundation works with victims of hate crimes in Merseyside. The aims and objectives of the charity are to promote racial harmony through education, sport and the arts, promoting the celebration of diversity and personal integrity and the realisation of potential of all young people. AWF operates locally, regionally and nationally but the priority focus is Merseyside.

AWF works to prevent youth involvement in hate crime by working with all young people across racial groups to feel secure in their identity and empowered to welcome and celebrate diversity in their communities.

We are all human. We have two eyes, a nose, a mouth, 10 fingers and toes and most importantly, a beating heart. To break the hearts of those around us who have a different coloured skin baffles my mind.

Tonight's live stream takes place on my facebook page at 8pm - www.facebook.com/hayleymurraysinger.

I will be singing songs from Black artists that have influenced me as a singer since I was little girl. I hope you can join me in enjoying some absolute bangers whilst raising funds for an excellent local charity.
