Over the summer I will be volunteering for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) on a development programme in Stung Treng, Cambodia for 12 weeks. This is a part of  International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and to make a difference where it is needed most. I will be working alongside volunteers from Cambodia. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested help. It also aims to inspire young people, both in the UK and overseas, to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

I am trying to raise £800 for VSO - one of the respected charities that deliver ICS. I am fundraising to ensure that VSO can continue to bring young people together through ICS to bring about positive change in the developing communities in which they work as well as to ensure young people, such as myself, are given the opportunity to help in making these positive changes - none of the money I raise will go towards funding my time overseas.
