Cambridge Muslim College under the tutelage of Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad is perhaps the most important Muslim institution in the U.K today. it seeks to train young Muslims to grapple with the big questions faced by Muslim communities.. CMC attempts to delve into classical texts of Islamic civilisation enabling their students to see the world through a distinctly Islamic lens. However, they also recognise that in order to see the current world clearly, their students require a second lens - understanding the different facets of the modern world. Thereby providing them with two key vantage points, Islam and Modernity, in order to attempt to understand the modern world and hope to provide solutions for Muslims today.
