Story
On 21st December I will be fighting in a white collar boxing match through Transform Together fitness. We are currently on week 2 of a 10 week training camp. My reason for doing this is partly a huge personal challenge for myself to increase my fitness and step into the ring in front a massive crowd of people. However, it is also a tool to raise money for ‘Friends of SCBU’.
For those who don’t know much about this charity it is dedicated to raising funds for specialist equipment and training for the neo-natal unit of the Jersey hospital.
I chose this charity as on the 19 September 2019 my sister gave birth to my niece Harper Belle Kennedy - she was 10 weeks premature and weighed 3lbs, The SCBU unit has supported Harper and helped her grow substantial over the past four weeks. She is doing very well and we all can’t wait to have her home soon. The care given to her is the most important thing possible at this time and they in constant need of the best and newest possible equipment - hopefully by helping to raise money for SCBU we can help them provide the best care for many others in Harpers position.
