What started with me recently wanting to improve my fitness back to what it once was quickly turned into an opportunity to run the Edinburgh Marathon.

Having grown up as an armed forces child and seeing my Dad run a number of marathons for charity, I saw the opportunity to raise money for a great cause close to mine and my family's hearts.

The Army Benevolent Fund has supported a number of my family's friends who have lost loved ones whilst serving in the Armed Forces. The ABF charity provides financial assistance to those facing hardship, whether due to injury, illness, or financial difficulties. The charity also offers help with housing, rehabilitation, and education, ensuring that those who have served in the armed forces receive the support they deserve. ABF aims to improve the quality of life for veterans and their families, offering a safety net and helping them to rebuild their lives after service.

P.s I have never run a distance anywhere near this long so you may see me crawling over the finish line :)
