The Adventure

This is something we both had always wanted to do and if in the process , we could raise funds for worthwhile causes then even better. Last year we completed our very first challenge by travelling to Rome via Swiss Alps and loved it so much.....we are doing it again!  This time though, the challenge is different , The Rust To Romania event , is an organised (of sorts! ) event that takes place annually where you can participate with like minded individuals in getting you and your vehicle to Romania ( although the finish point is actually in Budapest,Hungary). The Catch? Well, You can only spend £500 on a vehicle to do it and it must be at least 20 years old, so thats a bit of a challenge right away. We will be taking in at least 10 different countries, crossing the Alps and travelling along the famous Transfagarasan Pass in Romania. Our good old trusted steed , A Saab 93 which was kindly donated by a colleague and ex boss ( Mr Mark Elliott ) handled the route admirably, with only minor issues to the roof and we have affectionately called her Saabatha .

We would like to make it clear that both myself and Irene are funding this trip entirely ourselves, we will not be looking at taking expenses or deducting ANY monies from anything raised. So rest assured, ALL money generated and donated will go directly to S.C.A.A and will be passed directly to them by Just Giving
(Just Giving do take a minor % to cover their administration costs, Their fees can be found on the main Just Giving pages).

We would kindly ask for a small donation, No matter how small it is, EVERY single £ helps to keep our air ambulances in the sky , helping others , saving lives!
