During these unprecedented times charities are facing real financial difficulties at a time that they are needed the most and we wanted to help as much as we could.  We have come across the work that Holding On Letting Go do.  They support children through the bereavement process, helping them to come to terms with their loss.

As the adults around them are also grieving, these children often feel unable to express their feelings or talk about their loved one or their sadness.

Many adults don’t know how to support children through the grieving process, so we give support and guidance to parents and carers too.

One of the key ways that they provide support is via their bereavement support weekends which are held monthly and are fully subscribed. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus social distancing measures that we have in place the charity has already had to cancel several weekends, meaning that they already have a backlog of the children already referred to them at a time when many more children and their families will be needing to access their support and services.

We wanted to help, so we hit upon the idea of running an online charity raffle with prizes donated by some of our fantastic local businesses.  If you would like to enter, we are selling tickets at £5 per strip, simply click on the donate now button and put in the amount of money for the amount of strips you would like ie £5 for one strip, £10 for two and so on.  Please add your name in the comments box so that we can enter you into the draw. We will send you your ticket numbers and you will be entered into the draw.

Harrisons Residential Charity Raffle in aid of Holding On Letting Go Terms and Conditions

The promoter is: Harrisons Residential Ltd (company no. 8983012)] whose registered office is at The Old Wheel House, 31 – 37 Church Street, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0AD.

• The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. 


• By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

• You will be required to purchase raffle tickets to enter the raffle.  The tickets are priced at £5 per strip.  Please enter your name in the comments box. Tickets are non refundable. You may buy as many tickets as you wish. All monies raised are being donated to Holding On Letting Go.


• Closing date for entry will be 7^th May 2020. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted or entered into the draw.


• No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.


• The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

1. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. 4. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.


5. Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.  The draw will take place on 8th May 2020 and will be broadcast live on Harrison Residential’s social media channels.


6. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Instagram and Facebook within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.


7. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered safely in line with social distancing guidelines


8. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.


9. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.


10. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by [English] law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [England].


11. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
