Respect Phoneline Covid-19 response statement
During lockdown or self-isolation, domestic abuse perpetrators are likely to escalate the abusive behaviours towards their partners. We understand this is a particularly challenging time and we are taking steps to ensure that domestic abuse perpetrators have access to our helpline support during the pandemic crisis.
We are reviewing the advice we give to perpetrators about practical steps they can take to contain their abusive behaviours, in light of the Covid-19 crisis. We are also making contingency plans to manage increased demand for our helpline.
Concerned family members or friends, as well as Frontline Workers supporting perpetrators to change, are welcome to contact us for support and advice.
