Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In July 2014, I suffered a stroke aged 18. It was completely unexpected, I had no warning signs and within minutes everything I took for granted changed. It left me unable to use my left leg and left hand and arm. I became forgetful, struggled to find the words I wanted to say and even brushing my teeth would make me so tired I'd have to take a nap!
Over the next few months I set myself a series of goals I wanted to achieve - one was complete a run. Therefore on Sunday 2nd August I'll be running 10K (6.3 Miles). In August 2014 I was struggling to walk 10 metres so this will be a big achievement.
I'm running to raise money for The Stroke Association. They've given me information, support and a friendly face on so many occasions in the past few months. They've helped me understand and come to terms with everything as well as prepare me for the future. I want to give back to the charity that will help conquer stroke!
If you would like to donate I would very much appreciate it. No matter how big or small I would be very grateful for your donation, as will The Stroke Association and the people your money helps!
THANK YOU X
