Story

Hey all!

The London Marathon was over a year ago now, and its time to raise some more money for this incredible charity! This time I am running the Loughborough half marathon, but to make it an even greater challenge I am aiming to complete it in under 1:45.

Again I will be running for Brain Tumour Research, last time we managed to raise an incredible £1500!! This is a charity very close to my heart as my mum had a brain tumour 8 years ago. One of the main aims of the charity is to promote awareness of brain tumours; it took the doctor a very long 6 months to realise that my mum had a brain tumour. That was 6 months of constant dizziness, vomiting, falling over and even a brush with death. Sounds dramatic, but it happens.

Even if you donate 10p or £10 it means that the charity can continue to promote the symptoms and continue research into prevention and treatments.

My mum was one of the lucky ones; her brain tumour was operable and not cancerous, even if her memory is now awful! But more people under 40 die of a brain tumour than from any other cancer.

I am training really hard so please donate and support the cause. No amount is too small.

Thanks so much!

Hannah
