So here it goes, finally got round to setting this up.
My best friend since I was 5yrs old Kylie suffers from a type of skin cancer (BCC) which has eventually lead to her having to have a skin graft on her scalp preventing any new hair growing together with countless other surgeries to remove cancerous cells. Resulting in her having to shave her hair, wear head scarfs, wigs and hats from now on.
Since moving to Scotland when I was 12yrs old Kylie and I have remained friends and kept in touch firstly through hand written letters then email and now through social media we stay in contact and updated on each other’s lives. Through this I have witnessed Kylie’s struggles and seen her resilience in dealing with her condition her strength of character and how she can at times see the funny side. For this I really admire her and wanted to show my solidarity and support for her and help her chosen charity.
As a woman and for many, having hair is a major part of looking good and feeling better. We’ve chosen to raise money for the Look Good Feel Better charity who help sufferers do just that.
I will be donating my hair to the Little Princess trust and if we reach our target I will shave my head!
At least mine will grow back others aren’t so lucky.
So please donate to this great cause.
This charity helps cancers sufferers do just that
