Garleton Singers, a choir based in Haddington, East Lothian is a registered charity (No. SC002500). Our objectives include promotion, improvement, development and maintaining public education and appreciation of music by presentation of public concerts and recitals. We are very grateful for the support and donations we received for our online Christmas Concert. We passed half of the donations on to Help Musicians Scotland (Registered Charity No. SC049625), a charity providing help, support and opportunities to empower musicians at all stages of their lives.

We have used the other half of the donations to employ local musicians to help us present the World Premiere of "The Haddington Psalms". As this is the Choir's 50th Anniversary we would very much like to have performed this live, however COVID-19 means that this has to be another on-line 'virtual' concert.

As before, 50% of donations received will be passed to Help Musicians Scotland, and we will use the rest to employ musicians in our future projects. These musicians are largely self-employed and have been hard hit by the Covid-19 restrictions.
