Story
Many universities sports societies were supposed to be heading for Tour in Porec, Croatia, over the Easter break. However, now that we can’t, we are all taking on 970 mile virtual race from the UK to Porec, in aid of Leonard Cheshire’s PPE appeal. Starting on Sunday 26th April 2020 individuals from each university will run/walk as many miles as possible in a 10 day period, they will log their miles to add up to a team total, and hopefully be the first team to make it the 970 miles from Dover to Porec. This will all be kept in line with current government guidelines on daily exercise limits and social distancing. In the battle against coronavirus, it's vital Leonard Cheshire staff have more personal protective equipment (PPE). Without it, carers put themselves, their loved ones and those they care for at risk. PPE includes: - Masks - Visors - Gloves - Aprons Having this equipment means Leonard Cheshire can still offer care, reassurance and nursing to extremely vulnerable people. People who are scared like all of us. Please give generously, thank you and good luck to everyone taking part!
