No one in Lusaka is unaffected, at least indirectly, by HIV/AIDS.

Men and women die, children are orphaned, and often it is the poorest
who are left to care for extended families. Hope Worldwide Zambia is a
Christian Charity that has been implementing child-focused activities
and women’s empowerment since 2006. Our work focuses on care and support for orphans and vulnerable children and for People Living with
HIV/AIDS. 

We operate in four of the poorest areas of Lusaka and at each of these we run women’s support groups for those living with HIV/AIDS or those caring for extended families because of the effects of HIV/AIDS.  We operate children's clubs, helping them to come to terms with loss offering mentoring and support to start with, then finding them places in school and following their progress.
