Story
I have volunteered and continue to support Little Village that is a food bank but for clothes, toys and equipment for babies up to 5 years old.
They accept donations of excellent-condition, pre-loved items, which are passed on to families who need support. The items are a gift, given with love, from one family to another.
They provide a warm, supportive community for the families they see, building connections, local networks and facilitating support between parents. Volunteers made 7,000 phone calls to families over the past year.
Based in London, with hubs in Camden, Wandsworth, Southwark and Brent they have also been gifted a warehouse in Watford for a year to support operations.
Since launch in 2016, they’ve supported over 17,000 children across London.
Values of love, solidarity, thriving and sustainability underpin everything they do.
