Story
"If we and the rest of the back-boned animals were to disappear overnight, the rest of the world would get on pretty well. But if the invertebrates were to disappear, the world's ecosystem would collapse." Sir David Attenborough
There are more than 40,000 invertebrate species in the UK, and many of these are under threat of extinction. We invite you to contribute to a cause which was close to Guillaume's heart - the conservation of invertebrates such as the beetles he studied throughout his life.
Buglife campaigns to reverse habitat fragmentation, prevent and mitigate climate change, clean up polluted waters and replace insecticide dependency with sustainable, ecologically-sensitive farming, in order to halt the extinction of invertebrates which play a unique and important role in the web of life..
