Story

Shawmut is proud to partner nationally with The Posse Foundation - an organization that identifies, recruits and trains students with extraordinary leadership potential. Posse Scholars receive full tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s partner colleges and universities and for the duration of their college experience, they have the support system of their fellow Posse scholars, mentors, and staff advisors to ensure they remain in school.

I personally serve on the Los Angeles Chapter’s Advisory Board and many Shawmut staff volunteer through candidate selection, tutoring, fundraising, and mentorship. To date, Los Angeles Scholars have earned $207.6 million scholarship dollars from partner colleges and universities. Our involvement with these future leaders not only allows us to empower the candidates to stay in college, but also enables us to empower them through employment. Shawmut counts numerous Posse Scholars and Alumni as interns and staff. This diversity of recruitment is critical to the cultural well-being of our company and our industry.

Please join me in supporting this next generation of leaders by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.

Thank you in advance for your support!

About the charity

Posse identifies high-achieving students from underrepresented backgrounds, sends them to elite colleges and universities, supports them through graduation, and cultivates them as leaders capable of generating consensus solutions to the complex problems of America’s increasingly pluralistic society.
